“Imagine this situation”, “What will you do in this situation?”, “Do you know how we made this?”. Many subjective sentences for which we do not always have the right answer or the ability to visualize what we are asking. In the world of work, employees need good training to respond and work well.

This week, we’re talking about immersive learning, another 360 and 3D video’s use case. On February 5th and 6th, we attended to the “E-learning Technologies” exhibition in Paris. It was interesting to meet exhibitors and speakers. We noticed that many of them find VR and 360 technologies expensive for E-learning. But on the another hand, immersive learning is growing for many reasons! It has an infinite field of activities.

You can create storytelling, make some prevention video, discover new jobs and their gestures, or create virtual tour. We find very interesting the possibility to do some actions in this virtual world. Think about it, thanks to immersive learning, you can simulate dangerous and life-threatening actions without any risk.

Is it not impressive?
Still not convinced?
Well, we’re going to give you statistics’ numbers proving the efficiency of these new technologies in your daily practices.

Firstly, you will improve your abilities to focus during a training session. Why? Because you will be submerged in a real and famous environment. So you will be able to make some actions and see the consequences when you make these movements. According to one study, 100% of your attention is focused during a training session. Immersive learning is a remote simulation, so you don’t need to go to a special place to learn. You don’t even need a teacher so, eventually you save money and time…Indeed, you can save time to train your employees while training more efficiently. Thanks to VR and 360 video, employees’ recall will increase by 85% and their commitment will be multiplied by 5.

To learn or to prevent, we think that 360 video and VR are one of the best way. You can see, listen and practice in the same time. What’s better to learn and understand quickly and better? Immersive Ways team took part in the creation of a VR app on the traffic regulations for cycling, produced by Metavers360 for the Generali insurance. When you put the headset, your are totally submerged in a real environment while you are riding a bike, thanks to 360 videos. You can see behind and on every side of your choice. We added interactivity with gaze’s tracking to the 360 video to be sure of a good understanding. This type of project can be very useful to raise awareness, especially among young people, and we appreciate being able to provide solutions for that.

Immersive learning has a promising future, think about it and imagine your future learning or preventive video content (and create it now with Inside Studio, of course;)
